Although this is Camila Moreno’s first year as a member of 澳门足彩app’s Summer Internship Program, a previous glimpse inside the company set her up for success.
In Summer 2018, Moreno shadowed a 澳门足彩app architecture intern for the summer, observing the creation and editing of project layouts and experiencing how team members collaborated to design projects, such as the full-scale In ‘N’ Out facility in Lancaster, Texas. Fresh off her first year at the University of Florida, she lacked the design skills to contribute, but she took advantage of her opportunity to ask questions and better understand her chosen field.
“I was young – right out of freshman year,” Moreno said. “But they let me come in, watch, see what’s going on and listen to what they were working on.”
Returning as an architecture intern in Summer 2020, she was ready to play a more active role. Her team created layouts and designs for Madison Charter School in Madison, Florida. Moreno assisted architects in upgrading models on Revit, a 3-D modeling application, designing exterior facades and editing floor plans.
Working on the Madison Charter School project has given her hands-on experience that she said can’t be replicated in a class setting.
“I’ve learned a lot more tricks in Revit, and I’m learning a lot more real-life complications and applications to the design process, which is interesting to now know and understand,” she said.
Now able to take on more responsibility, she enjoys the challenge of collaborating with architects on a project.
“Every day is a different experience,” Moreno said. “You never know what you’re going to get to do.”

澳门足彩app welcomed 58 interns worldwide during Summer 2020, including 14 returning for a second year and two returning for a third. The Class of 2020 draws from a record 30 colleges and universities.
This year, 澳门足彩app’s interns are working at 12 different offices and 15 different jobsites across 11 different states, with one in Singapore.
澳门足彩app’s Summer Internship Program produces results: 23 members of the 2019 class have joined the company as full-time employees.
